CHICAGO, Ill. (July 20, 2011) --- With two Corona Light Wide Open championships already secured, Sean Scott and John Hyden, one of the top-ranked teams in professional beach volleyball will try to pick up their third consecutive Wide Open title when they compete in the $100,000 Corona Light Wide Open July 30 and 31 at Chicago’s North Avenue Beach.
Other men’s teams expected to compete in the two-day event include 2010 US Open of Beach Volleyball champion Aaron Wachtfogel, who will partner with former AVP Rookie of the Year, Bill Strickland, and Ty Loomis, a four-time winner on the 2010 Corona Light Wide Open and his partner, 2004 Australian Olympian Mark Williams. Also expected to compete are Kevin McColloch and Matt Olson, who were the runners-up in the Wide Open season opener in Siesta Key, Fla.
